BAR/BAT MITZVAH PROGRAM
Congregation Gesher Shalom offers an excellent program for anyone who wishes to celebrate becoming a Bar/Bat Mitzvah.
The goals of our B’nai (plural form) Mitzvah program are for students to fully participate in their Bar or Bat Mitzvah ceremony - read from the Torah, chant the Haftarah portion, lead certain prayers in the service, write and deliver a D’var Torah, as well as to experience community responsibility and compassion by being involved in a community service Mitzvah project.
Because people come to us at all stages of preparation, our B’nai Mitzvah
program is flexible and enables us to work with families and the students in order to create the most appropriate and meaningful experience. Our creative set-up allows us to work with affiliated and non-affiliated families.
We are proud to offer individual Bar and Bat Mitzvah dates to ensure that your child will be celebrated by our entire synagogue community along with your personal friends and family.
For more information, please see our Bar/Bat Mitzvah Handbook or contact our Director of Education, Cory Chargo at cory@geshershalom.org.
